Title: Gemstone Princess, or Princess Gem for short, of the Southern Stone Kingdom
Full name: Opal Amethiste Gemstone
Nickname: Gem
Race: Stone Folk (Humanoid, Gemstone Class)
Age: 20
DOB: February 14
Height: 5'11"
Personality: [
link] A strong, serious, no-nonsense young woman who likes to be in control and talk business. But don’t try to cheat this queen-to-be; she has the grace of a princess but the shrewd business sense of a seedy merchant. Try to push her around in a deal and you might end up in an alleyway somewhere pantsless with all your earthly possessions gone and no idea of what just happened. She may come off a bit stiff towards strangers, but that’s only because she hasn’t had the chance to mingle normally. She’s the kind of girl who isn’t afraid to get down and dirty if it means getting things done, and isn’t above resorting to more underhanded tactics if it furthers her kingdoms resources. Nothing matters more to her than her people’s well-being, and if you get in her way, well, stones protect you.
Likes: Control, learning secrets, history books, high vantage points, and flowers.
Dislikes: Sexism, bullies, sweet things, and the fact that she can’t wear normal clothes without wigging out because it feels weird.
Hobbies: Ruling her kingdom, extending the mining tunnels to further gemstone cultivation, excavating deeper into the earth, keeping her brothers out of trouble, trying to bring back her kingdoms trade routes; yanno, the usual princess stuff.
Weakness(es): The amethysts on her skin are extremely sensitive, more so than her brother, and wearing clothes over them causes her great discomfort. It can range from ‘ice touching your teeth’ discomfort to ‘DON’T TOUCH ME’ discomfort. Also, like every stone folk, Gem can’t swim. She’d sink.
Sexual orientation: Straight, but she’s too busy and too dismissive to care for romance. Sigh…
Title: Gemstone Prince / Prince Regent of the Southern Stone Kingdom
Full name: Larimar Sapir Gemstone
Nickname: Larine (pronounced Lair-in)
Race: Stone Folk (Humanoid, Gemstone Class)
Age: 20
DOB: February 14
Height: 6’3”
Personality: At first glance, Larine is a good-humored and laidback kind of guy who enjoys a lazy, fun filled lifestyle. He’s a people pleaser, always going with the flow and trying to help out where he can, often times getting him into trouble. He’s also very irresponsible and hates being in charge of things, and its like pulling teeth to make him do any of his princely duties. He’s very good at hiding when he needs to, much to his sisters chagrin. But, surprisingly, despite his mellow attitude, he has quite the nasty little temper. Its not like his sisters anger, where she’ll yell at you if she’s mad and forgive you in an instant. His anger is a bit more… subtle, and he doesn’t forgive easily. And if you’ve done wrong by him, or to any of his friends or loved ones, well, he has ways of making you suffer a good long time for it.
Likes: Music, swords, sparring, fighting monsters, exploring Ooo, and meeting new people.
Dislikes: Lies, being in charge, wearing shoes, ne’er-do-wells, and generally unpleasant people.
Weakness(es): Larine has a very bad habit of not saying no. He’s a good boy that way, but honestly, the trouble he gets into because he can’t say one simple word can boggle the mind. He once promised an ex-sweetheart all the jewels in his kingdom because they asked it of him. (Gem ultimately had to tell the person to bugger off and smack some sense onto her brother.) And if he tries to go swimming, he will undoubtedly sink to the bottom and drown.
Sexual orientation: He’s a
good old fashioned lover boy
Brief Description: Their kingdom lies to the South-East of Ooo, between the Desert Lands and The Hole Near the Center of the World, upon a massive monolith made of white rock. Deep within that monolith is an extensive tunneling system where their people cultivate the gems and jewels that their kingdom is so famous for. To the east of their city are the Jade Rock Pools; a little further up past the city is the entrance to the kingdoms mines, and in it leads to the great underground Gemstone Caverns. At the very top of the monolith is where the Laminaga's- the giant two headed winged serpent beasts native to their kingdom- dwell. Gem was born the eldest, but it was Larine who was named the royal heir. This did not sit well with either sibling. But then their father, his royal highness King Cardinal, died, and the kingdom fell into chaos. Larine disappeared, and in an act that some would call a royal coup, Gem seized the throne and named herself ruler. When Larine returned, Gem named him her champion and prince regent. It’s been four years since.
